The legs at left are those of Francis Carpenter; those at right are John Nicolay's Ostendorf '98 [p 191]. I have heard statements that the hands and feet in all three photographs of this date (A64d10, A64d11, A64d12) were drawn in by Lloyd Ostendorf. This seems unlikely, however, given that the three photographs come from three different collections.
